About the Journal

Focus and Scope

The focus of the Dual Language Research and Practice Journal (DLRPJ) is to publish peer-reviewed quantitative and qualitative research, literature critiques, and position papers related to dual langauge issues or bilingual education in national and international contexts.

Peer Review Process

The Dual Language Research and Practice Journal includes peer-reviewed articles. Typically, the peer-review process ranges from two to six months. The time depends on availabilty of the Review Board members. Additionally, there may be times when the Editors must seek a specialized reviewer; that is the point when the process may be extended.

Open Access Policy

The Dual Language Research and Practice Journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

Our vision is to be viewed as the number one online professional publication site for scholarly inquiry and perspectives that promote education equity and advance dual language education leadership both domestically and internationally. The editors invite authors from all professional fields to submit manuscripts regarding dual language and bilingual education issues for review for publication in the journal.

Dual Language Research and Practice Journal Mission

Our mission is to publish manuscripts that report, synthesize, review, and analyze scholarly inquiry that focuses on dual language and bilingual education issues. In doing so, the journal aims to provide opportunities for scholarship that promotes a critical view on dual language issues in education, shining a spotlight on social justice and capacity building in a global society.
